Catching Up on the Workouts Leading into RnR San Diego Race Week!

Y’all, there’s no good way to put it. My training in this final month has not been good at all. While it may seem strange to do nearly one month’s of training recap in one post, the month of May 2017 isn’t that month. Here’s a look back…

On May 2nd, I set out for my first run in my new Brooks Ravenna 8’s… Continue reading “Catching Up on the Workouts Leading into RnR San Diego Race Week!”

Tink, Wishes, RnR San Diego, and NYC

So, this weekend, The Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend is going on. By the time this post goes up, the Neverland 5K will be going on (with the winners already across the finish line). Sadly, I will not be running in any of the races. It’s kind of a shame. After all, the Inaugural Neverland 5K was my very first race. The 2013 Tinker Bell Half Marathon was my very first half marathon and the race that taught me I could complete these crazy long distances. So, why haven’t I run in this runDisney weekend since? Celebrating Star Wars Day by Looking Back at Where it All Began

On May 25, 1977 a cultural phenomenon was launched when the very first Star Wars opened in theaters. Today we celebrate Star Wars Day and say “May the Fourth be With You.” Get it? May the Fourth on May 4? Celebrating Star Wars Day has not always been. I was looking around YouTube and found some fun videos from back in the day when the original trilogy came out. I thought it would be fun, on this day to share a few of the videos I thought were kind of cool. What I love about them is that you get to see Star Wars develop as they went along. In some of the interviews you’ll hear things that probably won’t get told in the 2000’s as the story of Star Wars has unfolded. So, let’s use this Throwback Thursday to go back to the late 70’s/80’s.
