So, all week long, runDisney has been revealing the medals for upcoming races. First, it was the Disneyland Half Marathon medal. Then, we got the Wine and Dine Half Marathon medal. So, it makes sense that runDisney would roll out the next race medal….
Ladies and gentlemen…the 2016 Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend medals! What do you think?
Here are the medals from last year. As you can see, the Infinity Gauntlet Challenge medal remains the same. They’ve changed the 10K theme from Captain America in 2015 to Dr. Strange in 2016. So that change was easy to predict. However, they are changing up the Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon medal. Not only did we have the spinner last year….
but, we had the spinner in the Inaugural Year of 2014. So, it will be nice to have a slightly different medal this year. The spinners were nice. However, I’ve already earned two of those. So, yay for a new medal!
So, what do you think of the medals for the Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon? Will Iron Man ever get some love from the Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon? Why do you think that Avengers is the only race weekend where we got more than one medal revealed this week? Is it because only the Captain America 5K is Sold Out? Hmmmm.

i like all of the medals! I feel like they realized these to help and get interest with SDCC last weekend.
I agree that slow sellout is a problem for these races. I think no one knows who Dr Strange is and further, the Eye of Agamotto is far from iconic unless you happen to be a big comics person. I love the Marvel movies but this was a tough sell for even me. That said I signed up for everything.. 5k with my son, and the Gauntlet.. just looks like I’m going to have to miss the Avengers Half on Sunday and it’s killing me! I’d love a great Iron Man or Black Widow medal at some point!
