My 5 Favorite Songs to Run With Currently

I haven’t done a post dealing with some of my favorite songs to run with in quite some time. So, I thought it would be a good time to share my 5 favorite songs to run with right now.

My current favorite song is Try Everything by Shakira on the Zootopia soundtrack. Y’all, I get really excited when this song comes up on the playlist. I know right where it is as well. There are times where I’ve got to hit the repeat button because of how it makes me feel while running. I love, love, love this song!

Next up is This is Not a Test by tobyMac. If you’ve followed this blog long enough, you know I love me some tobyMac. If you want to use this song as well, put it towards the start of your playlist. It’s fantastic for that first mile of running. There’s a great beat and the lyrics contribute so well for the start of a run or workout to get you set up for a fantastic run/workout.

Third on the list is a song that comes up in my third mile. It’s Keep Breathing by Jody McBrayer. This song tends to come up at the end of mile 3 currently. It’s perfectly timed to help me finish my mid-week runs strong. Also, the title alone makes this the perfect song. Don’t you think?

Fourth on the list is Heartbeat Song by Kelly Clarkson. I’m not sure if I’ve shared this song before. However, lately, it’s the song that follows Try Everything on my list. I love this song more when I’m doing my 400’s on the treadmill than when I’m running on the street. It’s not that I don’t like the song when I’m running outside. This song just seems to get me going more on the treadmill. Not sure why.

Last, but certainly not least, is Joy Unspeakable by Mandisa. This song is just so full of joy. The lyrics, the music, the beat…it all gives me a song that helps distract me from the effort it takes to run and is just plain fun.

What are some of your favorite songs on the playlist? Share in the comments. Have a great weekend everyone!

    1. Me Too! It was also one of Colton’s favorites on the list. My wife played all 5 songs for him. While he liked them all, Joy Unspeakable got the best reaction. A close second was the Zootopia song.
