Merry Christmas from Disneyland!

Merry Christmas! On Wednesday, we went to see some of the holiday offerings at Walt Disney World. Today, we’ll do the same from Disneyland.

Fist, let’s see what happens when two holidays collide. The Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion overlay is up for both Halloween and Christmas. It’s my absolute favorite version of this attraction. So, I had to include it here. After all, Christmas is part of the attraction.

Last year, Disneyland added the Jingle Jungle Cruise to their holiday overlays. From the looks of it, they’ve upped their game a little bit this year. This is one pun-tastic merry attraction.

Next up is the Holiday version of It’s A Small World. If this attraction doesn’t put you into the Christmas spirit, you just might be dead inside. Seriously, I love, love, love this attraction during the Holidays. It must be experienced at night when the outside is all lit up. For those running the Star Wars Half Marathon, I believe this version of It’s A Small World will still be running that weekend!

Just like the Magic Kingdom, Disneyland has their own Christmas parade called A Christmas Fantasy Parade. Once upon a time, I auditioned to be one of the toy soldier trumpet players in this parade. It’s a long story as to why I never got to be one of them. So, every time I see them, I can’t help but wonder what it is like to be one of the toys. This is a super fun parade. Unlike the parade at the Magic Kingdom, there is no separate admission required to see this parade. So, it can be run during the day. This year, you might notice the absence of garland across Main Street U.S.A. Well, because of Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary, they are continuing to run the Paint the Night Parade at night. Since some of those floats go up pretty high, they can’t have the garland this year.

Over at Disney California Adventure, they have this fun show called Viva Navidad in the Paradise Pier area. How fun is this show?!!! I love the color of the Mexican celebration!

World of Color: Winter Dreams changes every year. There are some elements that remain the same. However, it’s nice to see the small changes year to year.

To finish our time at the Disneyland Resort, I present again the Disneyland Candlelight Processional with Geena Davis as the Narrator. This was the show I sang in this year. So, it seemed like a great way to close out our Christmas at the Disneyland Resort. I hope that you enjoyed this time at Disneyland and that you all have a very Merry Christmas!
