Happy Easter!

I will be back tomorrow with a 2 week recap of running and life in general. There is a reason I haven’t put out a blog post in over a week which I’ll explain tomorrow. However, today is Easter Sunday. I know that many of you come from different faith traditions. I’m not trying to step on those traditions at all. However, as you have heard me mention before, I am a Christian. Today is the day we remember the resurrection of Jesus Christ. So much gets made of in the media of various political stances people have taken in the name of Christ that I think the bare bones of what Christianity is all about gets lost. Back in the summer of 1992, I traveled with a Christian music ministry called the Continental Singers. This summer was the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Continental Singers. So, we got to sing many of the songs from the prior 25 years all summer long. It was my favorite of the 4 summers I spent with the Continentals. At the end of the summer, all the Continental Singers groups who traveled all over the world got together for a big finale concert. Because it was the 25th Anniversary, there were a few guest artists that performed a few of their songs that we had sung that summer with us. Don Francisco recorded a song that tells the Easter story so well, I want to share that song with you all as a way of communicating what Easter is all about to me. The song is called He’s Alive. The video is from that finale concert and I’m somewhere in the mass of Continentals. I hope you enjoy the video and the song.

Whether your Easter is all about Easter Bunnies, egg hunts, a reason to gather with family and friends, or if you’re Jewish and celebrating Passover, I hope you all have a fantastic day! Thanks for letting me share a little bit of my faith with you. Tomorrow, it will be back to the business of running, exercise, Disney, music, and other things that I tend to blog about. I promise.
