So, the official runDisney announcement of the Star Wars Half Marathon races was released one week ago today. Tomorrow, if you are an annual pass holder or Disney Vacation Club Member, you can register for this Inaugural year race! Registration opens at Noon EDT/9am PDT. If you are not a Walt Disney World Annual Pass Holder, Disneyland Annual Pass Holder, or Disney Vacation Club Member like me, you will have to wait until next Tuesday, June 10th at Noon EDT/9am PDT to register for the races. Also, if you do qualify and are unable to pre-register, fear not. You can also register with the rest of us on June 10th. A word of caution…the Disneyland runDisney races sell out very quickly. If you want to register for this race, plan on being on your computer at least 10 minutes prior to the registration opening time on June 10th. The Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon sold out in under 2 hours, The Dumbo Double Dare sold out in just over 40 minutes and the Disneyland 5K sold out minutes later. So, my advice is to figure out if you can and wish to participate in this race ASAP and be ready to go early.

Also, tomorrow is National Runners Day! Did you know such a thing existed? Until last year, I didn’t. Much like last year, the folks with the Rock n Roll Marathon Series are offering a one day special sale price on their races. Click on the image above to get all the details. They did this same kind of thing last year which got me to register for the Rock n Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon. The $65 price for this year’s Rock n Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon for tomorrow is so very tempting. If not for the $320 price for the Star Wars Rebel Challenge in a week, I’d probably be registering tomorrow for the Rock n Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon. Oh well. It’s a fantastic offer. Maybe, next year.
