One of the things I love about Disneyland is the rich history. It’s always fun to travel back in time and experience Disneyland as it once was. So, when I came across this video, I just had to share…

It’s amazing how much the park has changed. My mother in law and father in law remember quite vividly how spectacular Disneyland was in the beginning. It was such a new concept and Disney had built a vastly superior place for families to visit that a new industry was birthed…the theme park industry. My in-laws love talking about how they watched the Disneyland television show which hyped the new theme park and gave Walt the final money needed to complete the project. Even though, looking at the footage in 2013, everything looks so simple. Back in the 1950’s this was cutting edge stuff.

As I was on that YouTube page, I found this video from 1956 that gives us a pretty comprehensive tour of Disneyland as it existed back then. The video is 41 minutes long. However, if you really want to experience what Disneyland was like back in the beginning, I highly recommend watching this video. It almost makes me want to go back in time to experience Disneyland back then.
